On 6 September, under the auspices of the “White Night” contemporary culture forum, several events will take place at the floating arts centre contemporary culture forum, “NOASS” on AB Dambis: Italian artist Grazia Toderi’s video installations “Atlante Rosso”, Australian artist Richard Denny’s solo exhibition, and the unveiling of Kristaps Ģelzis’ installation “Pulpit”, as well as the electronic music festival “Watercolours”.

On September 6, 2014, a first solo show of the Italian video artist Grazia Toderi in the Baltic States will open in the Floating art gallery ”NOASS” in Riga. The works retrospective will feature several large scale video projections – modern symbols of contemporary video and installation art – Black Scala (Scala Nera, 2006), Red Atlas (Atlante Rosso, 2011) and Light for K 222 (Luci per K 222, 2014) and will be on view as part of the contemporary culture forum “White Night 2014” program.

Already this week, August 15th – 17th, will start The 14th International Contemporary and Video Art Festival “Waterpieces”.
On the third and the last day of The 14th International Contemporary and Video Art Festival “Waterpieces”, August 17, the festival “Waterpieces” will be returning to AB Dam with a premier of its special Kids edition. For the first time, we are happy to invite a young audience to enjoy open-air children’s screenings, organised in collaboration with London Animation Film Festival, take part in many family workshops and create a stop motion film with a use of various techniques and materials.
On 16 August, 17:00-20:30, The 14th International Contemporary and Video Art Festival “Waterpieces” programme will continue in Kronvalda park, near the Riga City Canal with curators’ talks and open-air film screenings.
