„Dynamis” a solo show by Kaspars Teodors Brambergs

„Culture and Arts Project NOASS” is pleased to present an exhibition „Dynamis”, by a Latvian painter, Kaspars Teodors Brambergs. The artist’s fifth solo show in homeland will give an insight into his latest work and feature large scale mixed-media paintings. The opening reception of „Dynamis” will be held at the Floating Arts Centre „NOASS” on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 6pm to 1am. The exhibition will be on view until June 5.

Testing the limits of abstract expressionism, Kaspars Teodors Brambers avoids any direct illustration of our daily existence and focuses on every form’s freely circulating and invisible energies. „This is what interests me the most”, the artist explains, „imperceptible circulation, wordless poetry that an artwork radiates. I use the Greek word „dynamis” as an attempt to describe the wholeness of this energy or power – if you wish.” Acting within the interior of human soul, this time Kaspars Teodors Brambergs invites everyone to meet the art work as it is and enjoy the moment, leaving all the tangible aspects of our existence behind.

Kaspars Teodors Brambergs is and award-winning and one of the most prominent contemporary abstract expressionist painters in Latvia. In his works, the painter is never afraid to experiment and uses such material as sand, marble dust, topsoil and other natural components. The painter’s previous solo show in „DFab” gallery in Riga was nominated for “Purvitis prize” in 2010 and won the “Diena Annual Latvian Culture Award” in 2011. Brambergs took part in many international group shows and his works are held in private collections in Latvia, France and Tahiti.

The exhibition „Dynamis” will be on show in Floating Art Galleries „NOASS” from May 17 to June 5, 2014.

May 17, during the International Night of Museums exhibition will be open from18:00 to 01:00.

May 24 and 31: closed.
